enjay Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 (edited) I want to replace the MFP currently on the Head's PA's desk, and am looking for recommendations. Needs to be fairly cheap to run (naturally), reasonably quick to print (first page out, and ongoing) and able to handle multi-hundred page print runs. Needs to be laser not inkjet, given the location. No need for A3. We've tried the Samsung CLX-3185, but I'm not too impressed with the quality of these printers. Also got a Kyocera FSC2026, but that is a little big to sit on her desk. Any suggestions? Edited December 17, 2012 by enjay
speckytecky Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 This Brother might fit your order: Brother MFC-J6510DW Wireless A3 Inkjet All-in-One Printer (MFCJ6510DWZU1) - www.misco.co.uk
enjay Posted December 17, 2012 Author Posted December 17, 2012 Sorry, should have said it needs to be A4. Very little need to print on A3, plus we need it to be small. And laser, not inkjet - this is for the Head's PA, so need decent quality.
sister_annex Posted December 17, 2012 Posted December 17, 2012 We've just started to have these: http://www.oki.co.uk/printers/multifunction-printers/a4-mfp/detail.aspx?prodid=tcm:122-131704-16 Toner is cheap (CMY does ~2K pages, K does 3K avg) easy to set up, software works on machines of XP and 7 - drivers work with 2008R2 servers They just work! 1
enjay Posted January 11, 2013 Author Posted January 11, 2013 Thanks for that. The Oki one looks pretty good, so I've bought one.
