Impero MSI Issue

Hi, So I managed to break my deployment of impero, by deploying it in a different method. I now need to remove the msi in bulk. So far the only method I have found in manual, just a msi removal tool. Is there a faster way, I have had a look at ms zapper (I think it was called that) but it seems to be discontinued due to problems that MS have found.

 

Forgot to mention, all windows 7 machines (x64), I was deploying via GP but now want to deploy via SCCM. I tried going back to GP but that really didn't work.

First a few questions.

 

What version of Impero are you running?,

What methord of deployment did you use

Is auto updates on?

 

As for removing it if can't get msi uninstall to work depending on how got to the current situation etc number of ways.

 

MSI Microsoft Remover is one of my favs but involves visiting every machine. However if get in touch with support guys (pm your details can arrange someone to call if want) as we have a number of vbs scripts and batch files etc they give you...

 

Sadly A/V software use to pick us up all the time and we developed these scripts in those times where AV had really broke the Impero installation..

Hi,

 

I was deploying with GP, auto-update is off. Its version 3.5, when uninstalling it was asking for 3108, which have got hold of. It may be worth me ringing support back to get hold of these vbs scripts.

if the impero software is installed correctly (although through the undesired method) and connected to the impero server, you can get the impero server to trigger an uninstall of a single or multiple clients activly connected.
