ANyone rooted a recent saturn 7 LG TV

has anyone managed to get into a recent saturn 7 based LG TV?

 

I've got a 42LK450-U i want to install LGMod on or maybe even customize the firmware a little more if can get the source,

 

but i can't get into the TV.

 

LG have tightened up the access. the trick with holding OK on tv and remote doesn't work.

 

i can control the volume via the serial port, but i can't access any options via it or enable debug mode.

 

i haven't got a programmable IR device unfortunately/.
