Old IT text books

I have a cupboard full of old IT text books which have been there for the last 8 years or so and none of the current IT teachers want or need them. I need the space and want to remove these books.

What is the best way to get rid of these? I dont want to chuck them in the skip as it just seems wrong.

As technology has moved on I cant even donate them to worthwhile causes as I cant see anyone would have any use for them.

 

Advice would be appreciated.
