Ruckus 7341 vs 7343

Can anybody shed any light on if there are any massive differences between these AP's? Apart from over £100? The site i am thinking of getting them for does not need the 5 Ghz band, so no need for the 7363's, but noticed these 7341's and wondering why they are so cheap in comparison to 7343.

I believe it's the number of ethernet ports on the AP

It is indeed the number of Ethernet Ports (1 x 10/100/1000 on the 7341 Vs 1 x 10/100/1000 and 2 x 10/100 on the 7343).

 

The 7343's are still available (though to my mind for the difference in price you'd be worth looking at a 7363 and gaining the benefits of dual band) but effectively unless you have a very specific requirement for using it as a switch in situ AND it being 2.4Ghz only then I would always recommend the 7341 to take advantage of the savings.

How do you not need the 5GHz band, do you have all old devices and never plan to get new ones?

Have you looked at these:Controller-less, Cloud-enabled, Wi-Fi and branch networks | Aerohive Networks

 

I to looked at Ruckus but having looked at how the future is going with wireless then I think Aerohive or even Meraki the latter who have just been taken over by Cisco.

 

They both have a cloud based management system and have layer 3 routing.

 

Aerohive have a patented bonjour app which helps with Apple integration also.

 

I think one or two people on here could give you some good advice about Aerohive
