TechSupp Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Given a laptop by a teacher complaining she could not print etc, on looking at it, its very slow to browse the network or itself i.e. Open up my computer and it takes a while to show all the drives etc. WIFI is connected but cant browse the internet. Run CCleaner and cleared temp files etc also run Malwarebytes and nothing detected. Teacher blames new install of office 2010 but cant be true as she managed to register it. Any ideas where to go next?
TechSupp Posted November 19, 2012 Author Posted November 19, 2012 Well blow me down, just removed an old mapped drive and it all seems to work fine now!
sted Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Any ideas where to go next? home or the pub? might be worth checking if the wifi driver has been automatically/by said teacher updated to one thats pants. Check its applying proxy settings (if required) try logging on as a n other user might be their profile
Matt_Brfc Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 My initial thought was network drives, others include issues with the NIC and the duplexing speed.
