Going from single disk to Raid 1 (Mirrored) in HP MicroServer

Hi, At home I have a HP Microserver. I have been using the 250gb drive that it came with and have just got a second one which I would like to use to mirror the drive already in the machine.

 

Will I have to completely wipe the currently installed drive and lose all info or can I install and set up raid 1 without having to lose anything.

Pretty sure it wipes it if you're doing it properly through the raid controller as it rewrites the MBR etc, unless you just want a 2nd drive to manually copy to/script w/e. (Not 100% though I'm afraid )
