Mr.Ben Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I'm wondering... I'm hauling my new school from the dark ages this year to a new version of Windows (we are currently running XP). My initial though was to go for Windows 7, as the change in the UI could be coped with by the staff. However after trying Start8 today, I'm wondering if I could go to Windows 8 - The total cost for here would be around £1450 with an annual maintenance of £150, both affordable. Would the money be well spent (in your opinions)? I'm just thinking that if Microsoft continue down the current UI path we are going to have to move to Metro at some point, so is the halfway house of Start8 going to make things easier? Are there any other options (that can be managed through group policy) available out there?
