The Peele is a popular, oversubscribed 11 – 16 College in the market town of Long Sutton. We have benefited from an extensive building programme to meet the needs of the increasing number of students on roll.

 

We are looking to appoint a flexible, hardworking individual to manage and develop the College’s IT system. Currently we use a mix of thin clients, PCs, Laptops and tablets to deliver ICT and curriculum content to our users. Our data centre is virtualised using VMWare and Hyper-V and consists of Windows, Linux and Solaris server operating systems.

 

Applicants will need to demonstrate excellent problem solving, interpersonal skills and be able to effectively lead a team. It is desirable for candidates to have experience of educational software and networks. In addition, the College also uses many bespoke software applications written with PHP and ASP.net. Candidates must have some experience working with these languages and maintaining web based applications.
