TronXP Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 We are currently having an issue with some of our Oki B440 printers. The prints are coming out very faded, we have replaced the toner and image drum but neither seems to solve the problem. Does anybody have any further suggestions? Thanks
elsiegee40 Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 It's not printing in Draft Mode by default or anything daft like that is it?
TronXP Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 No it isn't, one of the printers the fading is just a band down one side
Achandler Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 I have had this problem and it took ages to fix it. Our issue was quite a simple but near impossible to work out, basically it is the optical device that sticks the toner to the page, they don't actually use lasers these printers. If you open the printer top (like normal) you will see a piece hanging down that slots in just behind the toner when the top is shut, if I remember correctly you need to wipe the underside of this, use a damp (not wet) paper towel then dry it with another paper towel. Try that. 2

You are correct! Works perfectly now Thank you
