They are following their mission statement, they are VERY good at sharing information. All in all it comes down to a simple rule which has existed forever. Don't put anything on the internet that you are not happy having aired in public. That is why my Facebook page is very limited in terms of information shared.

How long before your Facebook guide simply reads: "Just don't use Facebook"? ;-)

The verbal advice is along those lines ;)

Actually it's more along these lines. They are outstanding at sharing information and my advice boils down to "Do tighten up your privacy settings, BUT if you don't want everyone to know about it, keep it to yourself"

Best advice I ever got was:

 

"If you want it to remain private, don't tell anyone"

 

Which is what elsiegee40 said. XD

 

Never got why people put stuff on Facebook and then wonder why everyone knows about it.
