Unable to reset local admin password

Hi,

 

I am having an issues with one of the iMacs. I have reinstalled Snow Leopard X (10.6) and it boots asking for a password for the 'local-administrator' but it will not let me login...

 

I have tried to reset the password by booting using 'Control + S' (I think)

 

Any ideas??

Do you have a OS dvd? boot to that there is a tool on in the menu to reset the admin password

Hi rush_tech,

 

Didn't even realise there was a utility on the disk. Thank you very much. Do we know what the password is set to when you install the Snow Leopard OS or is easier to just install the OS and reset the password?
