They look like quite a neat way of giving equal access to a small number of new devices that could just be for general independent research or work. http://www.lapsafe.com/uploads/diplomatlmsapril2012dtech.pdf It could integrate with the library system, and everyone wears ID cards that have their cashless catering number and library numbers in the barcode and mag stripe on the back.
