A friend, who is in Portugal, has just got a Kindle Fire and tried tethering it to his iPhone without success. I'm going out there tonight and I'll have a look but I wondered if any of you had tried.

When away from home I often use my phone as a hotspot and connect the Kindle to that. I've never tried to tether a kindle.

This method works with a Nexus 7 - The Kindle Fire runs android doesn't it? So should in theory work (i was using Samsung S3 as hotspot)

I think the easiest way is to use a mobile wifi hotspot app.

You can avoid tethering charges with some of them. It would probably hurt your data allowance though

It doesn't appear to work. Or not with My Galaxy Ace anyway. I tried a couple of Kindles and they would see it ok but wouldn't connect.
