Dennis_HHS Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Hi All, I am currently investigating HAP+ to enable users to use their student homedrives from home. First impressions are great, easy to use and implement. Now that I have the webapplication up and running in a POC environment I'm thinking about scalability/high availability etc. My first question, regards real-world usage figures: How many students do you have in total and how many are using the tool (concurrent usage). Second, does anyone have a High Availability setup? And if so, would you be so kind to provide details? (Example: MS NLB, Hardware Loadbalancers, etc.) Thanks in advance! Regards, Dennis
nickbro Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 I use it in a school of 750 students, usually have about 5 concurrent users (that is where they are using it at near the same time) This is the web tracker graph for this month so far
nickbro Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 This is just logons per over the same period
Dennis_HHS Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 Hi Nickbro, Thanks for the information. I am curious if I can use a load balancer with this tool like Microsoft NLB to make it more scalable as we have more then 20.000 students. Any experience with large scale implementations? Thanks!
nickbro Posted October 22, 2012 Posted October 22, 2012 Shouldn't see why not, you may need to use the same machine key in the web.config file

Dennis_HHS Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Thanks Nickbro. I will look into it.
