Slow Windows Shutting down/ No logon servers available error

I'm not sure if the 2 are related or not, but I've found that we are having a slow Windows shutdown even with no GPO applied. I've tried disabling services but even disabling everything it seems to take minutes to shutdown(I don't remember it being that slow).

Also we have had a few issue with people reporting that there are no logon servers avialable to service this request when users try to logon, but if they wait a minute they can then logon. I thought it was an isolated incident with some new cabling done, but I've noticed this error on another client machine even though it allowed the user on.

I wondered if the slow response for the 2 problems could be related at all, or if I have 2 seperate problems?

Any thoughts?
