Remove DFS from AD Network Server 2008

How do you remove dfs from server 2008 R2 Network.

Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager.

 

At the top left you'll see Roles > File Services, then to the right, Remove Role Services. Untick what you don't require and follow the wizard instructions. Hope this helps.

Thanks yes it does will this remove the stuff from ad that integrates into it like the namespace etc.

Logically I'd say yes it would, as that's essentially what DFS does. Whatever you do, always have a backup in place first!
