itgeek Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Hi How do you remove dfs from server 2008 R2 Network. Thanks
Michael Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Start > Administrative Tools > Server Manager. At the top left you'll see Roles > File Services, then to the right, Remove Role Services. Untick what you don't require and follow the wizard instructions. Hope this helps. 1
itgeek Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Thanks yes it does will this remove the stuff from ad that integrates into it like the namespace etc. Thanks again
Michael Posted October 12, 2012 Posted October 12, 2012 Logically I'd say yes it would, as that's essentially what DFS does. Whatever you do, always have a backup in place first!
