Valentine Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Does anyone know if any manufacturers still sell class 2 projectors (2 pin power, no earth)? We have a few rooms with interesting electrical installations where putting in a new class 1 projector would involve a fair amount of extra work. The ones we had previously were Epson X3 projectors.

Yup - but you are going to struggle to find a class 2 projector and even then its likely to cost a bit more. Therefore getting the sparky in to replace the wiring is easier. I know how you feel I would love to be able to change that kind of stuff (plug sockets etc are not hard to change!!) but instead you have to pay a spark!

robk Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 That adaptor is the wrong way round, and is made for pat testing cables. You can't goe from two wire supply to a three wire bit of kit safely.
