Imac PXE Boot

Hi Guys and Girls,

 

I know PXE boot from a mac is not possible but there must be a way I can get my Macs to boot from the network and see an image on WDS. I dont mind how I do it as such, but I need to be able to do it ASAP.

 

Any ideas would be a great help and a solution would be awesome.

In SCCM you can burn a task sequence to a disc. There will be probably a way in WDS, not sure how though.

Clonezilla has the ability using ipxe works well

We run a WDS server as well as a DeployStudio Server and both work well.

 

The quick and easy way is to download the liveCD here Clonezilla - Downloads

Most of the Macs we use will boot with this LiveCD. If not you can look more into Clonezilla to adjust the bootable CD for your needs. CloneZilla is an awesome LiveCD. We've even used it in cases where we get new laptops in and the WDS server has not had the needed new drivers installed and ClonZilla does the job.
