purpleoakley Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Hi I support a primary school that seem to be having an issue with runas. When a student logs on to a laptop a command line box appears very briefly which asks for the admin password. In the top right hand corner it comes up with C:\windows\system32\runas. I can't get the box to stay open long enough to see if there are any other messages or information. Does anyone know how to stop this happening? Many thanks
Steve21 Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Are you running something that's using the runas command in login script etc? Bearing in mind runas can't take passwords, it needs to be typed, it's most likely loading then failing and closing. Steve
purpleoakley Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 I have just been through the scripts and can't fina anything that is using runas. The scripts are very basic just drives and printers. It doesn't seem to stop the children doing anything it's just very frustrating.
ZeroHour Posted October 1, 2012 Posted October 1, 2012 Is it possible to grab a screenshot using Print Screen then saving via paint? I *think* the clipboard should work at logon but not tried it myself, the other trick would be to use a camera phone.
purpleoakley Posted October 1, 2012 Author Posted October 1, 2012 I'll have a go but it flashes up and goes away so quickly that it took me 4 goes to work out what it was saying.
