Joanne Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I've had a quick google, but can't find a definitive answer! I have had complaints from one of my schools that the desktop isn't the same on every machine, so I have started redirecting desktops. When I log on as a pupil I am getting the redirected desktop AND the local desktop, so it is rather cluttered! How do I stop the users from seeing local "Public User" desktop via GPO? It's a primary school so they need desktop icons. Server is 2008 R2 clients are W7. I want to avoid logging on to every machine and deleting the contents of the Public Desktop folder!! Thanks in advance!
Achandler Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 We use a GPO to wipe the public desktop folder, thought there is relatively little inside ours as we wipe it before we create the image we deploy.
Joanne Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 originally I had the icons on public desktop on the image and everything was fine. It's just this one teacher who has the MAJOR hump about it.
