Window7 to AD on win2003 server Issues

Hi all.

Having a few teething problems with win7 on acer i3 vertiton unit to win2003 server. When a student logs in it loads then blue screen, if we remove the network cable it does not blue screen, it does not do it on all unit and has not done it on the same none i3 units installed in another room, could this be a hardware issue on some I these units on the installed network card as I can't seem to find any others having these issues it's very odd and very frustrating

 

what is odd is its not all the units even tho all 28 are from the same image, same hardward.. seem to be a Handshack issue with some as soon as the unit trys to login as a student it reboots after blue screen.. room is set up the same as an other win7 suit only differnce these are New i3 Units and the Network card is different .. and we dont have any of the issue in the other room .. even looked if its a stack switch issue but they still do this is moved to another location off that switch

 

Acer are no Help at all on this

Have you tried to reimage?

yes re-imaged a unit that is doing it and they still do it, that was the 1st think we tryed , they are all off the same image anyway

It maybe worth disabling automatic restart on failure and see what BSOD says ?

 

Does it BSOD if you choose safe mode ?

yes it does not fail in safe mode. looking at event log there errors on Group Policey but cant see why that would cause a reboot, and there are NO Policey set on the container holding these PC?

Same with 'Safe mode with Networking' ?

 

try msconfig and disable everything on startup to make sure it's not something running at logon.

 

Can you post / pm the GPO errors ?
