yes but only just past few days virus targeted at sony drm so gets hidden has come out so now is time to go and check those laptops...

 

the w/s should be ok as i understand it sonys drm cant intsall on guest account has to be admin

It wouldn't suprise me if tech savy kids start using this to hide their porn. :)

 

I'd suggest disabling autorun on your machines if you haven't already as a precaution. However legally your unable to do that. Circumvention of DRM software is illegal under the 2003 amendments of the Copyright Act.

true i believe sophos tool above disables the spyware section of but leaves the tool on system but disable it from running which in effects stops you using the sony cd on the system

 

as can see it it will effect laptops as most w/s will be restricted..

 

anyway leave it few weeks and i can see sony bowing down and releseing the uninstall tool to keep law suites at bay..

Sony have already released an 'uninstaller' that removes the spyware portion of the DRM. It also actually updates the DRM driver to a new version (Service Pack 1 IIRC).

 

If you have either version of the DRM installed with or without spyware then you'll find your unable to burn CDs.
