Restrict concurent logons but allow remote logoff

Hi fellows,

 

I've come to a situation where we need to restrict the concurrent logong to our staff to 1. As you know this is easily achiveable with AD, and when the users logon to the 2nd computer they are presented with this message: "Logon Refused. You have exceeded your maximun numbers of allowed logons. Please logoff from the following stations: WORKSTATION1"

 

Do you know of any option that will present the user with a option to remotely logoff from the affected station? Thus they don't need to walk and logout manually from 1st computer

 

I reckon there are no feature in MS that can do such thing, but thought is worth asking the gurus in edugeek

Not with AD I created RSLogonLimit which does exactly this though. Runs as a logon script and can be configured to deny logon or just inform a user that their user account is elsewhere. Also provides an admin GUI for monitoring the logons.
