ihaveaproblem Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I want to sign up to office 365 for education. Where do I do this? I thought it was suppose to be free the same as live@edu? I can only find links to purchase or 30 day trials. We currently use live@edu, but I wanted to open a new office 365 under a new domain registered by the school Sorry for dumb questions.
kmount Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I started with a trial and then applied for the academic status once signed up and it was swapped over no prob. The support is very good.
ihaveaproblem Posted September 21, 2012 Author Posted September 21, 2012 Is that the proper way of doing it or is there an academic sign up that I'm missing.
kmount Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I believe that's the correct way. Have a look through http://www.edugeek.net/forums/cloud-services/97372-microsoft-office-365-getting-up-speed-cloud.html
jamesbmarshall Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 (edited) You need to sign up at http://www.microsoft.com/uk/office365edu, click compare plans, and then the link will say that it's a 30 day trial; however that is just a 30 day preview of the A3 licence - this is also the way to get the free service. Once you've added and verified an academic domain you'll be able to get access to all the free parts. Edited September 24, 2012 by jamesbmarshall
