PC Alerter Software

Im looking for some software for our school that will enable us to send alerts to PCs and laptops on our network, preferably open source.

 

Integrating with AD would be good and having premade alerts also. I know im asking alot.

 

This would mainly be used for alerting senior staff of incidents etc.

I was looking for a popup over the top over whatever the user is doing, or a scrolling bar anything really. This would be for a Server 2008r2 network and Windows 7 PCs and laptops.

NetSupport Notify is worth a look. Not free but is inexpensive. NetSupport Notify - Desktop Alerting and Notification Solution. Messages can be sent quickly to all or selected connected desktops. They take screen focus so can't be ignored!
