Rejoin a PC to the Network

I'm sure I have seen an answer to my question here before but can't find it in a search.

 

One of our XP machines has gone kaput - it's looking like a hard disk corruption. I'm trying to install Windows 7 on it now but it's looking like the HD is too corrupted to take it. It will be a new Hard Disk job I think.

 

My actual question is can I rejoin the PC when it's rebuilt to Server 2008 AD as the same machine. I have currently disabled the account in AD.
