mattianuk Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Hi We have a user who has a shared calendar which is the schools calendar - is there a way to hardcode that to be displayed as a live tile at all, even though they are not the logged in user? Thanks Nick Matt
nickbro Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 Hmm, that's a good idea, I'll make something that does it. As long as the admin has mailbox rights it should work
mattianuk Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 Excellent. Another cheeky request - is there a way to get it to auto login in school? Im guessing not - but I think it would make a cracking homepage for staff and students, but not if they have to login everytime.
nickbro Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 I was thinking of releasing a desktop type gadget as well
mattianuk Posted September 14, 2012 Author Posted September 14, 2012 Happy to help test. Let me know Really impressed with the software!
nickbro Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 (edited) What do you think? Attached is the installer. It requires the full .net 4 framework though. It's an msi, registry entries control it, which you should be able to deploy with a GPO HKLM/SOFTWARE/nb development/exchange calendar gadget Edited September 14, 2012 by nickbro
mattianuk Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Looking good! Isn't .net 4 installed with sims anyways?
mattianuk Posted September 15, 2012 Author Posted September 15, 2012 Btw, is one of them for the site? Can't tell from pic?
nickbro Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Not yet, it's a stand alone WPF application at the moment
mattianuk Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Crashes out for me everytime I open it, on Win7 64X Sp1
nickbro Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Ok, I needed an x64 as well as a x86 installer so it creates the write registry items
mattianuk Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Hi Nick Yesterday I tried to see if I could achieve what I wanted myself, I got partial success - but do you think the following is possible? I'd like the live tiles on a personalised homepage - so I would like auto login via iis auth or similar with their network credentials - grab their emails/calendar and allow me to add links to the page. They can then login to the existing hap if they need room booking etc, that doesn't bother me. I just want to have a consistent style on our intranet homepage and love the interactivity and ease of sing live tiles?
nickbro Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Auto logging into HAP+ for that purpose is not possible due to the way the logon system works. Sorry to say.
