daniel85 Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Hey I have an Ipad and want to use it with the interactive white boards we have a school. I have searched and smart notebook (the program we use at school for the interactive whiteboard) does not have an app. Does anyone know of an app I can get which will allow me to create presentations and them to be able to be used on an interactive whiteboard????? Thanks Daniel
FN-GM Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 Do you want to plug the board into the iPad itself?
daniel85 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Do you want to plug the board into the iPad itself? I believe you just need a VGA cable from the ipad to the interactive whiteboard. But I would then like to use the whiteboard to show my presentations interactively, like one would do while using smart notebook when you connect a laptop to the IWB.

Well you can plug it into the projector but not the board. It wont work interactively. If you look in the apps store for office apps there are lots of equivalent PowerPoint apps. 1
daniel85 Posted September 3, 2012 Author Posted September 3, 2012 Thanks looks like I just gotta wait for SMART to develop the app!
rad Posted September 3, 2012 Posted September 3, 2012 why not control the pc that the smartboard is connected to? For your iPad to interact, you need a vga for the display output plus a usb for the interactive side of it. then it might as well be a pc.

I could but I'm in 2 buildings and iPads have a much quicker startup plus are lighter. But you're right it may not be worth the hassle
