mattianuk Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Hi all On the new domain I have, I want to set Google Chrome as everyones default browser. Lots of staff already love it, and I want to take advantage of that. I have it installed everywhere using the MSI but now I want to configure it through the ADM/ADMX policies they have. Only thing is - Im not sure how to use these? I have a vanilla 2008r2 setup with 2 DC's and Windows 7 64x clients. I basically want to lock it down a bit (stop them installing extensions for the moment) and set things like homepages - and also set it as the default browser. Any help would be much appreciated.
synaesthesia Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Yup, templates you need are on this thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/62973-google-chrome-adm-admx.html They work a charm, we've done the same because IE isn't fit for purpose.
gshaw Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Same here although IE has to stay default for some of our online exams
synaesthesia Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 gshaw : which ones? (just to make sure we don't fall foul of such silly things too!)
mattianuk Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 I've got them, not sure how to install admx templates tho? Followed a guide but they only appear on one dc and don't apply?
