anyone had the following issues with theses pc's HP Pro 6200??

 

 

1. Won't boot with DisplayPort to DVI Adapter Plugged In. Hangs at PXE stage

 

2. Second Hard Disk Disappears randomly while your in the middle of using the machine (Might be windows 7 related rather than

hardware??)

There is a hard drive fault that effects the 8100 elite hps that may be the same, it is to do with the hard drive going to sleep and the system not being able to wake it up. There is a setting somewhere in the BIOS to disable this sleep mode.

 

As to the DVI, not sure. The PXE mode hang can be because of old bios/IME firmware.

something weird with the DVI.

 

flashed the IME firmware BIOS was already done. and now it won't let you f10 to bios when display port is plugged in.

 

i've turned off power management everywhere, bios/ control panel especially for HD.

 

see how i get on, it wasn't even booting up with hd quite a few times so i unplugged the cd rom drive as I'm not convinced the PSU's are really specced for 2 hd's and a cdrom (SFF)
