gshaw Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Was taking some screenshots for the blog the other day and wanted to save the images direct to my SkyDrive from MSPaint. Went to Save As expecting to see SkyDrive in the locations list but it wasn't there? Are MS really making you manually download the SkyDrive client for Win8 Desktop mode when it's already built into the OS for Metro apps or have I missed something obvious?
SYNACK Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Must have to, I can't see any save to points in Desktop mode.
InterwebsGuy Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Yes you have too install the app. I spent about 15 minutes looking for where to save stuff in Desktop view. The Metro app doesn't actually download anything it seems until requested - similar to a mobile app. The desktop client does, obviously. I guess it will be one of those stupid Win 8 things we get used to in time.
gshaw Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 At least I'm not going mad then I wonder if they might bundle it in with SP1 or something along those lines, it's the little things that need to be kept consistent to make the overall experience simple.
