COM Surrogate Error in Windows Photo Viewer

Hopefully somebody can help, keep getting the above error when looking through photos in photo viewer in Windows 7. Any ideas?

I've seen this happen with Intel HD drivers, you can click through one / a few photos fine but after a few it crashes out.

 

We tried the latest Intel HD drivers (this was about 2 months back) from Intel download site on a system and it didn't solve it but after installing the ones found via Windows Update, photo viewer worked fine.

 

So I would say check your VGA drivers and try above if your not on latest and see if that helps.
