Dos_Box Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I'm currently transferring all of my brother-in-laws files from an old Windows box to a shiny new Mac. All of the files and music etc. have been copied over successfully, however I have now hit a snag. Her iTunes password - which I have just used successfully to de-authorise the Windows iTunes - is not being recognised. I have tried several times but it is being reported as being wrong. To double check I tried to log into the Hotmail account that it is linked to (it uses the same PW) on my desktop and can't access this either. However I can from their old PC. Am I missing something?

Check the keyboard language settings on the pc, this can cause the computer to use certain characters in a different manor from the mac/your pc So on american keyboards where 2 = " for the UK English where as US English keyboard settings have 2=@
Dos_Box Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 No, it's not that. The characters are going in correctly.
GrumbleDook Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 The iTunes Account will be the AppleID. Try logging in directly to the AppleID Support pages (Apple - Support - Apple ID) to check that it works ok in a browser on the Mac. 1
Dos_Box Posted August 24, 2012 Author Posted August 24, 2012 Cheers Tony. Will give it a bash in a mo.
