Windows 7 Starter - update problem

Got a Windows 7 Atom HP. Had a heap of Malware on it now cleaned off but Windows update is missing from services.any suggestions please?

Thanks for that Cache. I ended up doing a restore to just before the last time it picked up updates. Then ran various - MalwareBytes etc to ensure it was clean. Updates now running sweetly.
