Arthur Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 04/09/12? Volume licensees can get get the Windows Server 2012 final bits on September 4. (Source)
FN-GM Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) From this link - Microsoft calls Windows 8 complete, but concerns remain, say analysts - Computerworld Some users will have access to the Windows 8 final code months before October. Developers and IT professionals who subscribe to MSDN (Microsoft Developers Network) will be able to download the new operating system starting Aug. 15. TechNet subscribers can download a trial of Windows 8 RTM that same day. Enterprises with current Software Assurance licensing plans in place -- Software Assurance is essentially an annuity that gives companies the right to run any version of a product -- will be able to grab Windows 8 starting Aug. 16, as will members of the Microsoft Partner Network. DrCheese Posted August 16, 2012 Posted August 16, 2012 Aye, bizarrely tho it wants you to ring MS to get your keys, rather than them just being on the site as it was with Windows 7 & 2008 R2 >.<
Blue_Cookeh Posted August 17, 2012 Posted August 17, 2012 (edited) Can't see it on our MS VLSC EDIT: Oh lol, had to search for "2012", wouldn't show up any other way. Edited August 17, 2012 by Blue_Cookeh

Blue_Cookeh Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 What's happening with Forefront nowadays? I heard something similar was included in Server 2012?
Arthur Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I heard something similar was included in Server 2012? Windows 8 includes a new version of Windows Defender which is essentially Microsoft Security Essentials with a different name. However, if you install a third-party anti-virus program, Windows Defender is disabled. I don't think Server 2012 has this. Windows Defender If you don’t have another solution installed, Windows 8 will provide you protection with a significantly improved version of Windows Defender. Improved protection for all types of malware. The improvements to Windows Defender will help protect you from all types of malware, including viruses, worms, bots and rootkits by using the complete set of malware signatures from the Microsoft Malware Protection Center, which Windows Update will deliver regularly along with the latest Microsoft antimalware engine. This expanded set of signatures is a significant improvement over previous versions, which only included signatures for spyware, adware, and potentially unwanted software. In addition, Windows Defender will now provide you with real-time detection and protection from malware threats using a file system filter, and will interface with Windows secured boot, another new Window 8 protection feature. Arthur Posted August 18, 2012 Posted August 18, 2012 I assumed you meant the anti-virus, rather than TMG (or UAG).
