dgsmith Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 We asked about 3 weeks ago - told we were far too late as there had been alot of interest but they'd let us know if anyone dropped out. Standard response I guess - no surprise we have heard nothing since. Anyone applying now I imagine will have no chance unless they know someone who knows someone etc..
FN-GM Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 To be honest the only things that would intrest me are the touch screens.
timbo343 Posted August 13, 2012 Posted August 13, 2012 We were in the same boat as dgsmith too, too late for equipment.
Chrislabrey Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 We were in the same boat as dgsmith too, too late for equipment. Hello, I am Chris Labrey, Country Manager at Econocom,in charge of reassigning the Olympic ICT equipment. The PCs and laptops are oversubscribed but there are plenty of servers and touchscreens left. There is a waiting for PCs and laptops and Acer/Econocom have promised to provide new equipment at discount to those schools that miss out.
SimpleSi Posted August 14, 2012 Posted August 14, 2012 I'd just like to say that some of the issues are due to Chris not being able to say the phrase of a name of a big city appended by a date out loud (And certainly not recently ) We couldn't all have the kit and some of us didn't all want them But all in all, I think it was a pretty reasonable idea Simon
