Hi all,

I've been asked to make a package of SMART Notebook Express for the network which I have managed to do, however I seem to have an issue with the browser. We have both IE9 and Google Chrome available on the network, but Notebook Express insists on opening within Chrome despite IE being set as the global default! I've tested this on a standalone workstation and the same issue occurs. Does anyone know if this can be changed?

Cheers,

Matt

Made me curious on this one :) Did a bit of testing, Seems it's just Smart doing stupid coding "again".

It basically is searching for the first installed browser by letters.

If chrome is installed it'll use that, Then firefox, then IE etc etc.

Any reason you couldn't just create a shortcut to IE, loading the http://localhost:53967/ page? (or w/e the port you have is)

Hi Steve,

Many thanks for your quick response.

Dumb moment on my part - should have thought of the IE shortcut myself = DOH! Tried this however due to SMART's 'interesting' coding the port changes each time a user logs onto the machine....

Cheers,

Matt
