kingchristo Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 Hi im currently looking into weather stations and would like something that can go onto our school website. I like the weather display bit of software it looks quiet cheap and looks like it can do a good job. Has anyone used this software and with what hardware thanks Chris
InterwebsGuy Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Check out Cumulus (free/donation funded). Sandaysoft It has a semi decent application that runs on your server for viewing conditions, but it also FTP's HTML files to your web server - and these web pages are pretty good. The guy that writes it is great for support too, definitely worth checking out. We use it with our Vantage Pro 2 and are very happy with it.
InterwebsGuy Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 Also, you didn't mention which software package you were talking about.
Dos_Box Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I presume they are on about Weather Display: Weather Display - the Weather Station software I've used this in the past quite a bit. It's very good at what it does, has oodles of features and is very reliable; even if they do need to hire a layout designer for a bit
Dos_Box Posted August 6, 2012 Posted August 6, 2012 I forgot to add! I've used the Oregon Scientific stations to good effect in the past (in conjunction with the Weather Display software). Just be careful though as some setups require you to change batteries every now and again on sensors/wireless senders/solar power modules. So always put a station where you can access it if need be!
