Free DVD to AVI software?

Anyone know of any good (and importantly free) DVD to AVI software out there? All I can find are trail applications that will only do a small part of the disc, or print a watermark over the ripped video.

Handbrake sounds just the job.

Handbrake can't rip encrypted DVDs any more from what I remember.

 

This software works supposedly? Free DVD Ripper - Rip DVD to AVI MP4 H264, Rip DVD to Android & iPhone iPad - Free DVD Ripping software, just remember to stick to the copyright rules applicable - in most cases ripping a full DVD is not allowed in school.

Assuming you have copyright - DVD43 will work with Handbreak to do the job.

VLC will do the job if you get the right settings when coverting.
