Blue_Cookeh Posted July 18, 2012 Posted July 18, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I've got a problem where a batch of new netbooks isn't getting a DHCP IP when I try to PXE boot them. I haven't had this problem with any of our previous Samsung netbooks or any of our other machines (all Dells) but these 5 aren't working (other than this, WDS is great by the way!) I turned on Monitor mode on one of our switchports, listened with Wireshark and could see the DHCP request going out and the offer coming back with all our DHCP options for boot server etc, but the netbook just says "DHCP..........." until it times out and reboots. I've also tried moving the netbook to a different switchport on a different switch all together and using a different ethernet cable. Any ideas? EDIT: herp derp, been a bit of an idiot! Got it now Edited July 18, 2012 by Blue_Cookeh
Blue_Cookeh Posted July 18, 2012 Author Posted July 18, 2012 Oh, I just totally forgot that we disable WDS' replies in it's Properties when we're not using it...
