Hi,

I have been tasked with the job of sharing a whole school academic year calendar on outlook 2010 with all staff. The problem is the calendar is usually created in *.pub format and this year is no exception.

Is there anyway I can easily get the calendar information from the pub file into outlook 2010 with not too much hassle? a few people have suggested converting the pub to excel but I cannot find an easy way of doing this either.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Adam.

A publisher file? Are they planning on making a poster of the calendar or maybe publishing it in a magazine?!

What format is the data in? Its the more difficult way to go really as pushing excel to publisher looks possible as you are converting 'data' to 'information' whereas in publisher the data will likely be in context with other info and without very strict formatting rules you would be hardpushed to find a script to export it back again.

You'd be better off creating a Calendar in Public Folders and do it that way. It will mean someone manually copying it across this year, but ongoing they can make changes in realtime. You can set permissions on the Folder/Calendar and give most people Read Only access and the relevant people Read/Write access.

Assuming you have Adobe Acrobat Reader on all/most of your computers you could always convert the Publisher file to a pdf file and put it on your Intranet?
