SimpleSi Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 Guess who's just had "THE" email from Parcelforce :-) :-) :-) :Dancing across the floor: Si
SimpleSi Posted July 6, 2012 Author Posted July 6, 2012 @GD - I feel for you sir When were you allowed to order/ who from? (mine from RS on 29thMay) Si
Soulfish Posted July 6, 2012 Posted July 6, 2012 I ordered mine from RS at the EG Conf (I was sitting listening to the Pi talk at the time, so it seemed apt ). No sign of it yet though :'(
teejay Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Just to gloat, I've had 2 for over a month now, number 3 has just been shipped:o I'm more excited by these than I am about the massive amount of sexy new server hardware we're getting over the summer to build our high availability/DR solution. I just really enjoy the way you can hack around with them and the fact that they are limited in speed, memory etc which makes them a bit of a challenge. It really does bring back the fun I had in my younger days of messing with a ZX81 then a C64 and then an 8086 based PC.
witch Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 mrwITch ordered 2 back in March - one from Farnell arrived a few weeks ago and he has just had notification of the RS one being dispatched.
Andrew_C Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I ordered one each from RS & CPC. Somehow, I've ended up with four! I'm not even sure I've been billed for all of them, i'm waiting for statements to try and unravel what's going on. That was the good news... It looks like they don't like the RS supplied power supplies. The first two worked for a while, but have stopped booting. The supply voltage drops to 4.8?? under load. Poor regulation perhaps? Need to hassle RS next week.
