shoescc Posted July 4, 2012 Posted July 4, 2012 i am from the UK and wordshark is priced at around £75 on the amazon.co.UK site. however on amazon.com it is priced at $0.00. has anyone purchased this and is it genuine?
elsiegee40 Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 I haven't looked myself, but application of the rule "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is" means I wouldn't bother with it. Proper pricing for school use and for home use here: http://www.wordshark.co.uk/prices.aspx 1
kernewek-sam Posted July 5, 2012 Posted July 5, 2012 All I'll say is that ours cost much more than that, bought from them directly. So I think @elsiegee40 advice is sound.
mr_wordshark Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 With declaration of interest as Support Manager for Wordshark - Thanks Elsiegee40, I confirm that is the current pricelist. I have looked, and it is the same firm that is selling on both amazon.co.uk and .com. I doubt they have meant to give the Americans such a good deal. The list price for a single user CD, inc VAT and postage, for UK customers is £69 for Wordshark (unchanged for best part of a decade, despite the program hugely expanding in that time). In almost all cases, the single user CD is not the optimum product for school use - we have several other delivery mechanisms (activation, USB, network) that are usually more appropriate within a school.
