over-charging and shoddy repairs

since this aparantly there has been a new servey done which is even worse and not just pc world one tech wrote off a pc for a deleted windows file charging the customer £500 for the new pc and using most of the bits out of the old one he told the customer was beyond repair. Has anyone seen the new one it would be intresting perhaps i am in the wrong job.
