glennda Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Have you seen Archipel? That looks very slick. http://i.imgur.com/PQp1X.png From what I have read, ConVirt and CloudStack are meant to be the most feature complete of the free web frontends. Not sure if that's true or not. Cloud Stack is very good - was testing it for a while before i left running on 4 dl360's with 100gb ram in each. only downside is it requires a dedicated management server (so another physical box not running vms) 2
cpjitservices Posted July 3, 2012 Posted July 3, 2012 I have tried Proxmox here and wasnt that impressed - ran it for a few weeks then binned it for KVM, we have KVM across the board here with oVirt for management. On my workstation (CentOS 5) I am using Xen for testing VM's. 1
mavhc Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 8 years later it seems like everyone's switched to KVM, including AWS and Proxmox. I need to find a spare server and try proxmox again, who doesn't love zfs. Now with encrypted backups!
mavhc Posted July 16, 2020 Posted July 16, 2020 As no one's been using the IT room I installed Proxmox on 3 machines and made a cluster using Ceph, super easy
