Update failing on Ruckus ZD1100

I have managed to get the latest firmware 9.4 but when trying to update on the ZD it fails every time. it uploads just fine then asks me to make a back up all ok when i press "Update" takes me to the splash screen goes to restarting then crashes there and all i get is a flashing red light for 2 hours on the ZD itself?

 

Can i update straight from 9.1 to 9.4 or do i need to update to 9.3 before updating again?

I believe you need to go through the stages inbetween, as the jump from 9.1 to 9.4 is quite considerable.

We've sometimes been issued with an update for the wrong product which causes the upgrade to fail, so make sure they are sending you the update for the correct model.

(No I'm not naming the reseller, well I might if I don't receive a reason to keep quite from them )

6 Upgrading to This Version

This section lists important notes on upgrading ZoneDirector and ZoneFlex to this version.

6.1 ZoneDirector

6.1.1 Official 9.4 upgrade path:

9.1.2.0.8 to 9.4.0.0.110

9.11.0.0.38 to 9.4.0.0.110

9.3.0.0.87 to 9.4.0.0.110

9.3.1.0.30 to 9.4.0.0.110

9.3.2.0.3 to 9.4.0.0.110

If you are running an earlier version (including 9.1.0), you must first upgrade to 9.3 before attempting to upgrade to 9.4.

 

I know most of us are stubborn male types who won't ask for directions or read the manual, but sometimes it helps.

If you have a support contract in place, you are entitled to have access to the Ruckus Support page, and you can download the files you need direct. No need to be going through resellers!
