Folder Redirection Policy - takes ages! - Help please

Hi

 

The Folder redirection policy can take a while. I've narrowed it down to the Start Menu and Desktop which point to a share on sysvol. Is there a method of speeding up Folder Redirection e.g. copying shortcuts to say C drive

I've usually found that when redirection is slow its down to permissions errors.

 

If you go to the Event Viewer --> Application and Service logs --> Microsoft --> Windows and look at both Folder Redirection and GroupPolicy logs, see if there is any useful information as to why it is taking so long
