Rawns Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 When a school has Discover installed, a 'Discover' button is integrated into the SIMS toolbar. My question is that when you click that button and Discover loads, where does it look for the information on where the Discover client is installed, what database it should connect to etc. After some testing, I know it's defiantly not from Discover.SIMS.Configuration.exe.config file as I would expect!
Linfit Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 It finds the Discover Client from a line in sims.ini, which is usually in the Windows folder (although it may only contain a a re-direct to one on the server) 2

What an idiot, why did I not look there?! Thanks to that little snippet of info, Discover now works normally in our hosted environment! Thanks!!! That would be the Configuration program @Rawns, your after the: Discover.Designer.Desktop.exe.config That's the one I meant...
