andyturpie Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Afternoon, just followed all the procedures for our EES licensing for Windows 7 and when logged into the microsoft site there is a myriad of different versions and serial numbers. Does this mean I can use different versions of W7 ie Enterprise and professional etc? Enterprise would be handy for bitlocker and obviously professional for school workstations etc? Is it safe to mix and match?
SYNACK Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Use Enterprise for everything, no point in using the lesser versions when EES gives you the best one to use everywhere.
sonofsanta Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 Make sure you're getting the "with SP1" version without any trailing letters (K and M iirc) - those represent gimped versions without Media Player etc. I believe.
Blue_Cookeh Posted June 22, 2012 Posted June 22, 2012 We just grab Windows 7 Enterprise w/ SP1 and deploy it out to everything... also remember if you're going down the KMS route and/or image deployment it'd be easier to plonk Enterprise onto everything.
